Who is the DRAGONFLY Team?
DRAGONFLY Consultation, Counselling & Research was co-founded by Raegan Elizabeth and Toni Tilston-Jones and is based in Winnipeg.
Both Raegan and Toni are Social Workers, each with graduate degrees (MSW) from the University of Manitoba and actively employed in the human and social services fields.
Toni and Raegan share a passion for the ongoing pursuit of social justice, positive social change, equity and the development of loving and caring, supportive relationships and communities. It was this shared passion and vision which brought them together and inspired them to create DRAGONFLY and its sister entity FLIGHT.
The DRAGONFLY team is also comprised of associates, specializing in various areas in the human services, who work with DRAGONFLY Consultation, Counselling & Research on contract and project basis.
About Raegan Elizabeth:
My life practices at home, at work and everywhere in between, are guided by and grounded in my values:
social justice, anti-oppression, reflexivity, love and compassion.
My intention is to live from a learning stance, remaining sensitive, curious, open and honouring difference and fluidity. I strive to honour and acknowledge my own experiences and those of others, what happens and what "we" are. "We" being the distinct and diverse relationships, processes and experiences created each time a "you" and "I" come together.
My work is value and goal-driven. Considering and caring for all individuals, groups, systems and structures. My practice goals include: transparency, confidence, direction, honesty, accountability, asking questions and being comfortable with not knowing answers.
My work and areas of interest include:

About Toni Tilston-Jones...
I was born and raised in Winnipeg and still live, work and play here (or there - depending where you are). I describe myself in many ways: I am a daughter, sister, partner, woman, an ally, advocate, activist, a social worker. I am a community member, a citizen, a learner, a teacher, a human being, a work in progress.
Living within the many dimensions of self, I have witnessed the power of inclusion and equality, known community and been inspired by socially-just actions and events. At the same time, I have witnessed and experienced the detrimental effects of exclusion, oppression, inequality and injustice.
My vision for my life is to contribute to the ongoing development of relationships, families, communities, organizations and hopefully - the larger society - in ways where all people consistently experience caring, connectedness, equality, inclusion and social justice. I want to shape places and spaces where equity, in every sense of the word, exists and thrives.
Who I am as a person and as a professional has been (and will be) forged by all my life experiences. In many ways, my wisest teachers have been the youth I had the privilege of working alongside. I learned many lessons from these young, but wise individuals. They taught me to see the world in a very different way, they taught me about power, injustice, loyalty & love, about perseverance, compassion and forgiveness. They taught me a lot about myself.
Lessons from them, combined with lessons from important mentors and relationships in my life, my formal education
(BA: Criminology & Psychology, MSW: Social Policy, Planning, Administration)& Leadership and over 15 years experience working in the human services field has provided me with knowledge, skills and experiences that I would like to humbly share with others.
DRAGONFLY provides me with opportunities to do all of these things.
My work and interests include:
I have worked in multiple levels of organizations: direct service provision, supervisory, middle management, senior management, specialist and consultation capacities. I have worked in and with individuals/groups/programs/organizations/ in the not-for profit, government and public sectors including; Ministerial departments, community-based programming, community health and in the Education, Justice, Health and Child Welfare sectors.
